A free foreclosure-prevention workshop will be held Saturday morning, February 2nd at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton.
The workshop is being hosted by state Sen. Mike Machado, D-Linden, and Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani, D-Stockton.
In addition to Machado and Galgiani, Rosario Marin, who is California State and Consumer Services Agency secretary, and Carrie Lopez, who is director of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, will speak on the current mortgage crisis, home lending, and California's economic outlook.
Credit counselors, loan servicers and lenders will offer on-site assistance and information on options available to homeowners facing mortgage difficulties.
Those seeking help should bring loan documents and financial information. Spanish speakers will be there to help Spanish-speaking homeowners.
